The Story of Little Rainbow Warrior

"Little Hummingbird what do you see...flying silently and flittering all around me?"

Little Humming bird answered "I see the sweetness within your Soul. I see God's plan to make your life whole."

And through the garden he walked...past the honeysuckle, past the wild roses, down the path that was lined on either side with Buttercups and Johnny Jump Ups. Little Rainbow simply followed his Spirit. As he headed towards the open fields the Butterflies came to greet him. They trusted the gentleness that he was.

Once in the field the rabbits scampered by him. One sat down close to his feet and just looked into his eyes. "Little Rabbit what do you see?" Little Rabbit answered "I see myself looking back at me". It was then that he realized that all of life is connected. He sat down by Little Rabbit and offered his hand. And from his hand sprang a Rainbow clear up to the Heavens. Little Rabbit was not afraid. He sat there and said "you have the Gift".

As time went on Little Rainbow grew up, sometimes in a very cruel world. All the bitterness and hatred that he saw did not - could not stop his heart from beating for all the world.

He could touch a hand and heal a wound at a very young age. His classmates would come to him to fix their skinned knees and bruises. He may not have completely understood what was happening but he could not - nor would not stop it from happening.

At an older age he began to travel. Feeling at home in one area he began to put down roots. He studied long and hard and entered the medical field. This opened up so many doorways for him. His "Gift" was still with him. He had people coming to him for healings. His medical background enabled him to be able to serve better.

One night while alone sitting in the dark by a tree he saw the penetrating eyes of Mr. Owl. "Mr. Owl tell me what do you see". Mr. Owl looked at him, eyes all aglow, "I see a man who is living all that he knows".

In his middle years he decided to go back to the place where he grew up. He came back to serve the area where he had opened up. Now a gentle man, refined and full of life, he was happy to be back home. He worked within a doctor's office giving not just healing to the sick. He offered compassion for their hearts and love for their souls.

As God would have it he was injured at an older gentleman's age. He had to leave his practice and has since moved away. Although you could count the years in numbers - his Soul - his Spirit was still ablaze.

And now, more than several years later, his special day is near. There is still pain from the injury and his heart has shed many tears. Yet nothing can stop his Spirit or the "Gift" that he holds so dear.

Sitting in the garden Little Hummingbird comes near. Landing on his hand and resting for a bit.

"Little Hummingbird what do you see?"

Little Hummingbird did answer "I see a gentle Soul before me - one who can see inside of me. A man of age - a little boy - a Spirit forever free - a Soul who has served forever. One who knows the Truth - that you and I and Little Rabbit and Mr. Owl are one right now. And when you reach out to heal another, in turn you heal yourself. I see a child was born with a special "Gift" and had the courage to believe that no matter what the world said he knew he could make a difference. I see all of God's creations rest within your eyes. And I see Little Rainbow so deep inside you smile".

The morale of this story is that we are all God's children too. Each of us has the option to live so fully as Little Rainbow did. The choice is up to you. If you choose to give your all then God will find a way to bring to you the things you need each step along the way.
