First the door must open be...
(first the heart must be open to the Divine Will of God)
but the task is for you to find the key...
(the key is "surrender" and simply allow His Will to flow through you)
When we get out of our own way and allow Him to guide our lives miracles do happen. In order for the heart to be open we must honor our heart as a sacred vessel to house the Divine. Then and only then can we serve so completely. Then and only then can we live completely. It is through Trust, Faith and Perseverance that we are able to accept the miracles into our lives. He may guide to us what we need, but it is up to us to accept the tiny gifts and turn them into true miracles.
Someone special once said this to me and it has taken me a long time (or so it seems) to find the courage to live so completely.
"Dawn thanks to the Powers that be, we still have freedom of speech. Truth should not be altered. Say it as it is or it is worthless. Courage is respected. Hold fast, stand true, and shine as freedom shines."
Each person alive has been born with God given rights. Unless the person commits a crime that is punishable by law and is incarcerated no human has the right to strip another of any of these rights.
The Declaration of Independence clearly states:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Yet some people live within limits that are placed upon them by others. Limits that strip them of their self-worth, of their privacy or sacred space, of their love for life and yes, even sometimes of their life energy. The body may be alive but the soul is all but lost. These times cause a person to simply survive in life, not thrive as was intended at birth. Even survival is an effort.
For years I would watch how I worded everything as to not upset anyone, even at the cost of my own feelings. This led me to live a life based on fear…fear of causing another any form of pain. Fear of being condemned for speaking so honestly. Then God gifted me with a friendship where I was able to share all of my opinions, my feelings without fear because there was never any judgement. This taught me something very important. If we live our lives based on fear then our lives will become paralyzed. However, if we live our lives based on Love and Light then all things are possible.
It is when that Love and Light is gifted through God to be shared with others that our world opens up for us. Hence..."First the door must open be". But having the door open is not enough. We must be willing to surrender our egos to the Divine Will of God and step aside in order to let the miracles come into our lives. Once we have the "Key" in our lives all things truly are possible through God.
Many of you may be thinking 'oh they are just old cliches'. This is very much not true. I know that some of these 'statements' date back to eons ago. They hold just as true now as they did then.
If we are to dream than we must believe in our dream. If there is no belief than it is an empty dream that will never materialize. If, however, it is a dream filled with love and light then the chances of bringing that dream into this reality are very strong. When the dream does materialize we must be ready to accept what has been offered to us.
Sometimes as much as we know what our dreams are and we put the request out there to the Universe we are not ready to live the dream when it comes to us or someone else stands in the way of our dreams.
This is the first time in my life that I have been gifted with the ability to live so completely. There is no self-doubt. I am able to express myself openly and honestly and share my own dreams. All families are different. I am blessed with my family for we live from the heart with sincerity and love. We build our dreams together. Unfortunately not all families live this way. Sometimes our dreams are not accepted by our families. Our dreams are seen as a threat. They would bring us our freedom…our God given rights. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
This realization that was put before me made me start searching again for answers. What I found was something I had heard many times from my Grandmother while growing up. The memories were of words. Rediscovered now they hold new meaning for me.
Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and you shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened to you.
For whoever asks, receives;
and he who seeks, finds;
and to him who knocks, the door is opened.
matthew 7:7:8
So as I live my life dare I ask for my dreams? God says 'yes...ask'. Simply asking isn't enough. I must seek them out. I must follow the leads, the tiny gifts that He sends my way and knock or request the door is opened to me. When He opens the door I must be ready, willing and able to walk through it to my dreams. Then I will have taken that little tiny spark of Divine Will and materialized it into this world for all to share in.
So many of us ask and follow the initial leads and as our dreams start to materialize we are paralyzed by the unknown. Our dreams will take us out of our comfort zone and place us in Heaven if we let them. Some are ready to walk through that door and some are totally blocked by others.
It truly amazes me that in this day an age there are some who live lives that are stifled by others. Their dreams are ridiculed. Their beliefs are dismissed as if they don't exist. Some of these people have the sweetest souls I have ever met. I am grateful for each one of these souls that have touched my life and graced it with awareness and light.
For all those who live in fear, oppression and suppression...I say to you...gather the courage and "Ask"... for your voice will be heard. May your days be filled with Light, your nights filled with Dreams and your tomorrows filled with tiny Miracles.
