Lord I pray that I may be blind to the petty and ugly things that people say
and do that shade the Holy Light of Your eternal love.
If I am angered then I am brought lower than the things that angered me.
Let me be so filled with your love that the meanness and harshness of the poor
lost will find in me Your loving and guiding light.

If there be a desire in me,
if there be a need in me,
if there be a passion in me,
let these things be of You and for You,
for as you fill my life with Your precious love,
all of my needs, wants and passions are fulfilled by You in me.
