Peace within....

The True Peace

The first peace, which is the most important,
is that which comes within the souls of people
when they realize their relationship,
their oneness, with the universe and all its powers,
and when they realize that at the center
of the universe dwells Wakan-Taka (the Great Spirit),
and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us.
This is the real peace, and the others are but reflections of this.
The second peace is that which is made between two individuals,
and the third is that which is made between two nations.
But above all you should understand that there can never
be peace between nations until there is known that true peace,
which, as I have often said, is within the souls of men.

My heart echos Black Elk's words. Peace... true peace comes from within our own Souls. I have sat here all week listening and searching for what was to be offered this week. Nothing came. Yet I have seen so many people searching recently for peace outside of themselves. They will never find it there. Those who have realized where Peace lives have truly brought a smile to my heart.

I ask you this week to look within and see what is stopping you from finding peace. What is standing in your way? Have you been standing in your own way? Has someone else been keeping you from living from your soul? Have they been holding you back from truly being who you are? Search deep inside and see yourself through my eyes. See your Soul for who it truly is. Know, without a shadow of a doubt, that you are beautiful inside. You were born that way and you still are...deep inside... past the drama that surrounds you... past what others say about you... past what they think or how they judge. You, at the core of your being... at your Soul level... are a child of God...loved, cherished and needed within this world. Your Light is needed. Your Peace is needed. You are needed. Please don't ever doubt this fact. Be kind to you this week. You matter!
