In Loving Memory of Gail Matthews
Here am I Lord ready to do your bidding
for I know from whence I came
and to where I am going.
The Path is straight before me
and the Sight is with me
and your Love which is my Light
dispels all darkness and fear.
There are no tomorrows. We only have this moment before us. Each moment we have is sacred. Each moment is filled with the breath of Life gifted from the Heavens.
It is our choice to use each breath wisely or to waste one single second that is offered to us. To accept each moment that is gifted to us and live it so fully that our heart shines upon the world is the only choice there should be. All else is truly a waste. To shine that Light in a life of service is the highest form of living.
Gail could have taken all of Manhattan into her heart. Her caring was that great. She was an inspiration to us all. Her dedication to the community through the Fire Fighters and First Aid spoke volumes of who she was. By crossing over and going Home she has taken a part of each of us with her. In its place, she has left a spark of her Light.
My prayer is that we live our lives by her example and in doing so, keep her smiling in Heaven for all eternity. If we were able to hear her voice, what do you think she would say?

What flows through these human bodies
is God's own Breath.
