The Dawn of a New Age |

Dawn Ellen...After going through tragedy after tragedy, Dawn Ellen became aware of a reoccurring pattern to her life. As a child, she realized that she was different. When other children were out playing, she was learning of prayer from her grandmother. Her mother was diagnosed with cancer when she was eight and at the same age, she lost a brother of only three hours old. A lot of her life she didn't understand. Her grandmother opened her world to the heavens and gave her hope. "God give me strength" was a common phrase her grandmother would say. But as she grew up, she realized that it wasn't a "phrase" at all. There were many prayers that she learnt throughout the years. There were traditions that were handed down to her that she still keeps alive today. Traditions that bring hope and light into space that is so pitch black there seems to be no way forward. She left home to get married and realized shortly after the vows were taken that she had walked into a very abusive marriage. From years of practice with her grandmother, she relied on prayer to give her strength and guidance. When she thought there was no hope left, she prayed for someone to walk into her life to help guide her out of the anguish she was living with. Prayer carried her through being homeless with two small children after she found the strength to get divorced. God sent a man who pointed out all the worthwhile things that she did in the world. He built up her self worth and her trust in herself again. They were married a year and a half later. In 1984, after losing her mother to cancer, she quietly sat in her mother's room and said out loud "God give me strength". In a few days, she realized she was handling the death a little easier and the emptiness started turning into a flood of wonderful memories. Two months later, God proved to her how much strength she really had when her husband was diagnosed with cancer. Her words were again, "God give me strength". She realized that she felt much stronger than she 'should have' in this situation. She was able to take care of her children, her job and cope with her husband's cancer as well. Fifteen years and many, many life lessons later, the marriage broke up. She prayed for God to help her, because her heart was breaking one more time. But this time, He didn't just help her through the pain. In 1996, He set her on a spiritual journey that would change her life forever. All the prayers her grandmother had taught her came flooding to the surface and found a place in each day of her life. They helped her cry her heart out when she almost lost her daughter to asthma. God had guided her to the man who became her business partner and lifelong friend. They created a pet store where people would walk in simply for prayer and hope. Her grandmother's prayers gave her strength and courage when she was alone in the pet store as it was burning. She was able to stay calm enough to work with the firefighters to try to save the animals. She walked out of the store with God in her heart and angels surrounding her. She had no physical marks on her. Her heart hurt. God and the angels helped her get past the pain of losing so many animals to the fire. It was at this time of healing that she was introduced to Reiki. Now Dawn Ellen has reached out to Reiki and became a Reiki Master. Because Reiki can soothe the heart from the pains of everyday life, she has combined Reiki and Prayer to cleanse the Body, Mind and Spirit. Even on her worst day, she can step aside from the chaos and find Peace within her heart. Everyday she makes a physical effort to make a difference in at least one person's life. This is why she has opened up her world to all of you. She wants to make a difference for each person that contacts her. With time she will be able to offer, in her area, workshops, healing circles and other metaphysical events that will promote inner peace. Until then, she offers as much as she can. |
