I thank all of you for joining me yesterday in prayer. I'm sure our hearts were heard. Even though this day of prayer is done, I ask you to keep these memories close to the surface. As you walk through life this week please continue to reach out to each soul you meet, if only by visualizing them being happy. Be conscious of your own life. Take notice of what makes you happy. What makes you anxious. What makes you a little upset and what really crosses over the line. Then look closer and see which of these things is truly your responsibility and which are not. Those that are not...acknowledge them, accept the fact that they have touched your life a little deeper than you would have liked and simply release them...let them go and let God, let the Universe take care of them. Reclaim your happiness and share it with the world. I thank you for sharing your lives with me. By Monday I will be able to post the details on our next prayer session for April 9th. I hope you will be able to join me. Until then...thank you all for all you do. Blessings, Dawn |
![]() Please join me in prayer this Friday, April 2nd. I have been living these prayers, either in my past or as they come to me now. I have been guided to the focus of each prayer session. This week is no exception. Last week we focused on forgiveness. There were many opportunities placed upon my path that enabled me to look at forgiveness from a new perspective. From this new perspective this week's session was born. I have seen how healthy boundaries can create Sacred Space and from there, enable us to forgive those who have hurt us and forgive ourselves for allowing others to encroach upon our Sacred Space. I have also seen how we sometimes take on more than we should. Out of love for others, compassion for humanity, the desire to help...there are many times when we accept burdens that are not ours to carry, accept responsibilities that do not belong to us. In doing so, we are placing ourselves in a position to be hurt ... we are giving the Universe the ability to create a new wound. We are only responsible for ourselves. It is not up to us to take on anyone else's responsibility. That shouldn't stop us from reaching out to help others. By offering help, others are able to fulfill their responsibility to themselves, to their community, to humanity. When we take on someone else's responsibility we are overextending ourselves when it is not necessary. Yes there are emergencies when stepping in and taking on more than our fair share is necessary. Yet on a normal basis if we take on the responsibility of someone else, we could actually be taking away an experience that they need to live. We are each here to learn...to grow...to realize who we are. What is the true meaning of responsibility, besides being held liable for our actions? It is the act of responding to life in a manner that promotes healing and healthy growth. By acquiring the ability to promote positive responses to all situations, we are telling the Universe that we are not open to negative reactions from others, while helping to manifest positive reactions instead. If you don't feed the fire ... it can not burn you as easily. There are many times when reoccurring situations, reoccurring patterns happen in our lives and it is out of pure habit that we react to them instead of consciously responding. By reacting, we are continuing the cycle that causes a wound to stay open or enabling a new wound to appear. If we consciously respond to the same situation, we are able to defuse it and protect our healthy boundaries and stop a wound from happening by not buying into the high drama that the situation has created. We did not take on someone else's responsibility. By stepping back and detaching ourselves emotionally, we are able to clearly see the situation for what it truly is. We are able to see that the responsibility lies with the other person who did not approach us with positive intentions. IF they approached us with a defensive attitude, a sense of revenge, or any other negative intention...it is up to us to respond with our highest good at heart. By doing so, we do not 'feed' the situation and we do not offer any form of reaction that could cause a wound for the other person or ourselves. The following is a prayer that I have tried to live by. It is not always easy. Life brings us lessons to help us grow, to help us learn and to help us acquire the art of responding from love, instead of simply reacting. In order to 'live this prayer' we must live from a state of respect, understanding, compassion, and acceptance of what we truly are responsible for. By living this prayer we do not give up who we are. We share who we are with the world by being a living example of this prayer. Will people attempt to take advantage of us? Yes. Will everyone accept us for who we are? No. Will we accept ourselves for who we are...as we are? Yes...if we live authentically, accepting full responsibility for our own lives, placing those healthy boundaries up to allow us to see where our responsibility ends and someone else's starts .... we can live with peace in our hearts, joy in our souls, clear vision and the ability to respond with our true beings ... because we know who we are and can freely share that with the world. I give you this beautiful prayer... St. Francis Original prayer for Peace and Oneness Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me bring love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, bring your faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, bring your light. Where there is sadness, bring your joy. Divine Master, grant that I may not seek to be consoled as to console. Grant that I may not seek to be understood, as to understand. Lord, grant that I may not seek to be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned. It is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life. St. Francis I ask you to take the world within your hands. Offer each soul upon this Earth a clear view of their life. Visualize them at peace with themselves living this prayer. See their hearts full of love. See them understanding what they need to do for themselves and for others, bringing peace to all involved. Witness the entire world responding with love, instead of just reacting as usual. Pray for this visualization to be created within this world for the benefit of all. Then release the image from your hands and know that your heart was heard. Please join me anytime during the day. For those whose Fridays arrive before ours...please do start the prayers and we will join you when Friday comes to us. Thank you all for all you do. Many Hugs Dawn |
